I was lucky enough to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, England recently, the home of the great playwright, William Shakespeare.
Here I am at the Shakespeare Centre.
We had an exciting tour of the house he grew up in.
Here we learned about Shakespeare’s early years, his marriage to Anne Hathaway, and how his father made a living as a glove maker.
We also learned that some pretty famous writers have visited Shakespeare’s house, including Charles Dickens, John Keats, Walter Scott and Thomas Hardy.
At the end of the tour we had a chance to hang out in the garden.
Here’s my author.
At the end of the day we took a quick walk through the city.
Where we found, The Jester, “O Noble Fool! A Worthy Fool!”
William Shakespeare’s birthplace is not to be missed!
