Dear Friends,

I just love Ogunguit, Maine. It’s not just fun to say but fun to visit as well.

This quaint little artisan town has fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Here I am.

We walked along the boardwalk,

visited the light house,

and even ran into a couple of lobsters.

So when heading out to Maine, be sure to check out Ogunquit, and don’t forget to bring your camera!

The Flume, The Flume

Dear Friends,

I love New Hamphire, especially, the Flume Gorge!

During my week in New England I had the pleasure of visiting the Flume Gorge, up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Set in the Franconia  state park, we took a 2 mile hike through the trees,

over the river,

around the boulders,

and past the waterfalls.

I really liked Table Rock!

There is a walkway bolted to the side of the wall so you can walk right through the gorge and even get wet!

Here I am!

At the end of the hike we stopped in to see some long distance relatives.

Too bad no one was home.

So when visiting New Hampshire I highly recommend a trip to the White Mountains, but be sure to bring comfy shoes!

Fifo Visits Vermont

Dear Friends,

I have just returned from a fabulous trip to New England.  One of my favorite places during my week long trip was Waterbury, Vermont.  While in Waterbury, I was able to enjoy my favorite ice-cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, during a fun and informative trip to the Ben and Jerry’s factory outlet.  I learned how the ice-cream was made from cow to store, and everything in between.

After the tour, ice-cream tasting and trip to the company store, it was time for fun and games on the grounds.  First, a photo op with my beloved ice-cream…

and then off to the ice-cream graveyard to pay my respects to all the interesting flavors that have come and gone.

Full from the ice-cream, it was time to wash it all down with a cool and refreshing drink, so off to the Cider Press Mill I went.  Known for their wonderful apple cider and apple cider donuts, I just had to check it out.  They were right, It was the best tasting cider I had ever had.  Fresh and sweet, a very tasty treat.

Needless to say, when visiting Waterbury, Vermont, come hungry!

Stay tuned, more to come on my exciting trip to New England.
